On “Blorb” and Design Philosophy

In the circles I run in there’s been discussion of this thing called “blorb”, as illustrated by elmcat and riposted by nathan. Like any insufferable critic, it’s time for the child to weigh in.
Who gives a shit. Just play your damn games.
Design philosophy is the rot of the mind. It is the little devil that festers on doubt and eats away at your life like a cancer.
Just do what you, the referee, like and either you’ll find players who jam with it or you can change it as seen fit.
This discussion is all bullshit. I hate game design discussion. I want everyone arguing about it right now to take a piss, shut up and just keep playing games. Keep your anecdotes yourself. It’s infinitely more valuable to reflect on how you enjoy games in notes and margins than to write a manifesto. This post sucks. Don’t take it to heart.
Fuck game design. Just play your damn games in peace like a normal person.
